A place where I share my life with you through my photos and words. A world of horses, motorcycles, cats, dogs, martial arts and kids all of which goes on around me.
I went for my walk this morning with Pup gleefully walking with me. I honestly believe that our morning walks were a thing of pure joy for him. 30 minutes later he was gone. I don't know what happened. He ran into the woods and 2 dogs chased him out, I saw him cut into a field and the dogs turned around and came back. When I got to where he went into the field he was laying there dead. No car hit him, no marks that I could see. He is now by the creek with the rest of our loved ones.
That is SAD and scary, maybe he had a heart attack when the other dogs chased him? Poor Pup! I'm very sorry for your loss.
My husky Luna slipped her leash a couple days ago walking near the American River and took off out of sight. I thought sure I had lost her but thankfully she came back. I'm scared to take her walking now. She loves it down ther so much, and with water and game she could go wild, or follow a biker or jogger home. I don't know what I would have told my kids.
Oh No Celeste. When I first looked at your photo I thought...how sweet! My heart sank when I read your post. I'm sure he enjoyed your walks together. The is nothing that can compare to the unconditional love of a pet. I'm sad for you and for Pup. You're in my thoughts.
I read this 3 times I thought I misunderstood ! Did he have a heart attack ? That's the only plausible explanation if you don't see any wounds. I am so sorry for you how sad your morning walk ended !
Oh no! My sincerest condolences. My 10-yr-old cat (Copper) passed away a couple months ago when he suddenly got very ill...turned out to be cancer. I still miss his silly laziness. I took in the foster kitty about a month after Copper's passing and that has certainly helped dull the pain.
I am so sorry Celeste. Having recently lost our young cat Fritz in March very suddenly and unexpectedly, I think I know what you are going through - just plain shock and so much sadness. He was a beautiful boy, your Pup. At least he had his happy morning walk with you one last time. Again I'm so sorry for your loss. Chris

Hi Celeste... Pup is a beautiful dog really. I'm glad that he went in peace and not in pain. I'm sure he lives lovingly in your memories.
Thank you for coming by.

I am so sorry too! He is probably smiling in dog heaven, he got to go on one last romp with his favorite human.
I'm so sorry. We lost our elder lab a couple years ago, and the younger is getting up in age now.
