Pup is a black lab mix. He was a throwaway. He was coming around a dog pen that we had another throwaway in and running off when I would come up to the cage. When I finally got close enough to him, I was horrified! His skin was falling of his bones. He was nothing more than a walking skeleton. I put some food down for him and walked away and he ate it. The next day I did the same thing. After a few days he would come up to me and wait for the food. Slowly I gave him more every day until he gained weight and looked like a puppy. Today he is a good dog. He only barks if something is there. He insists on going on my walks with me even when his leg was broken and had been shot. ( I believe it was next door person that did it)

He is so beautiful. Horrible. How could one human being do such a terrible thing. They should be caught and locked in jail.
Mine's up too.

We found a black lab mix in a similar state. His furr was all matted with mud and he was tick infested. He's an awesome dog,and I love him to pieces, just as I can see how much you love yours.
I'm going to post a pic of ours.
Have a Happy WW!Very touching story!

What a gorgeous dog! I can not believe that someone could do something like that to one of God's creatures. It's hard to believe to there is such evil in the world, but sadly there is. Glad he has a good home now.

Anybody who treats an animal this way surely does not treat people well too.

Thank God he is good hands now. Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for taking care of him. WE have a rescue dog and even though she still gets very scared of the least little noise, the wind blowing, etc. she is a great dog.

Thanks for visiting me!
