Tackle it Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Tackle it Tuesday seemed like a way for me to get things done that I keep putting off. Regardless of what you may or may not have read, I am a lousy housekeeper. I do stuff and do stuff and never get stuff done. I hate cleaning and try to avoid it whenever possible. I need to get things done and keep it that way. I thought that maybe if I exposed pictures of my stuff that needs to be done on the web I just might get it done. At least for as long as it lasts I will be doing the Tackle it Tuesday spot on 5 minutes For Mom.

The project this week for me was my baker's rack in my kitchen. When I got this a few years ago I was tickled. I had never had anything like it before. It has become a catchall and a mess! Everything has been tossed on and under it from flour to tools.

I removed everything from it. I went thru my cookbooks and gave the ones I do not use to my daughter. I washed the shelves down top and bottom, front and back. Everything was washed and dried. Tools were placed in toolbox, garbage was tossed, paper was shredded. Lids that went to nothing were donated. If it did not belong on the rack it went away. I actually put the stuff where it belonged instead of just putting it somewhere else.

Now I am ready to start on next's week project.

I have a dry sink that looks about the same as your before pictures. Luckily the bottom has doors on it so it is mostly hidden. I should tackle that! Good job!

Lord Celeste, you did a good job on that baker's rack!!! I too have so much clutter...My old house is so small and no kitchen cabinets and only one closet makes it hard to keep it clutter free!
love ya,
carlene

Haha! I'm afraid I don't spend enough effort figuring out where things "should" go. I have lots of little "catch-all" areas around my house. :)

OMG, I hold you in high esteem for even thinking of such a thing as Tackle It Tuesday, let alone actually tackling-and finishing- a project! Margo
